Alignment problem?
Ok guys. I put a 3.5" spindle lift on my 2011 silverado 2wd. Having a couple of issues with the front end. Truck has 20k miles, so the parts are good. Also has 1" level for 4.5" of lift. I had a 3" spacer on before.
When I turn it feels like the front end is pushing the tires. I get squalling noises in the parking lot and with the wheel turned I have positive camber. Used to be one side positive and one negative. Any ideas? Camber looks a little positive at times. I'm thinking it's an alignment problem and not the spindles. I know of a lot of other people running this kit with no problems. Also my cam bolts still have the factory plastic "plugs" in them. Makes me think they never touched the camber because it can't be adjusted with the plugs in. Has a single hole for the dowel pin, and not grooved to match the camber plates I need some ideas please. Anyone wanna help? I've done driveway alignments and never had a problem like this

Knock out the slots, have it aligned at a shop.

You have an alignment rack in your driveway!?! SWEET! I'll be right over
![]() Go to a shop and pay $70 for an alignment. You will save $500 for not burning up the tires you bought. |

Technically the shop should replace those plugs with the appropriate ones after the alignment is done, like the dealer. It stops the eccentrics from moving.
Most likely, it just didn't need to be adjusted. Scan and post your printout, I can tell you from that. |

Well like an idiot I didn't get a printout. All of the Chevys I've seen had the plugs removed. Hard to believe the camber would be the same with a 3" level, and a 3.5" lift spindle

If that is true, then the suspension arms are now back in the stock location with the removal of the leveling kit (dictating the factory alignment again). I've seen quality 3.5" lift spindles not need an alignment. Go back and tell the shop your issue. A real shop should have no problem putting it on the rack to check (THEN get your printout ). If they bitch about it, pay someone else to do it right and never go back to the first shop again. No one here can help you without the printout. We are good, not clairvoyant. Aight, I'll take it back. Wierd, I went to seperate shops for alignment after level, then after spindles. Guess that means there's a bunch of lazy fuckers.
Anyways I'll swing by there at lunch and See what they say
