Steering Stab Mounting Spacers
I have a Radflo steering stab, that I need new spacers for both mounting ends
5/8" rod, 2" body, and 22-7/8" approx extended length Both bushings are 1 3/8" each, or about 11/16" each...........problem is, that a 1/2" bolt will not go through these bushings, about a 1/6" too tight ![]() ![]() The ends of the stab will take and accept a 1/2" bolt I bought a 4 pc spacer kit, which came with two tall and two short spacers. But the 1/2" bolt will not go through the bushing kit......and my bracket that it bolts to is drill out for a 1/2" bolt The shorter two spacers I have pictured work good and accept a 1/2" bolt, but they are obviously much shorter than the other 4 spacers I have pictures......if I use the shorter two, there is too much slack/slop in the bracket Should I just ream out the current spacers or are there spacers made for exactly what I need? ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is the bracket I am going to mount one end to: ![]() ![]() ![]() Any ideas or suggestions?

cut off the part of the large spacers that go into the joint. then drill out the spacers to 1/2" make sure they are drilled straight.
not to be a dick but WTF is a steering stab?
