Drive shaft question

And a one at that. I plan on building a front ds for my BII, and I figured square tube is easy, cheap and strong. I don't need to balance is obviously as it is a front and this is a DD rig.

Now for the question. When measuring for the tube, how do I go about doing it so there is enough slip in the two halves to allow the front to cycle correctly, and not come apart of bottom out?

Measure yoke to yoke at full stuff and full droop. Measure at ride height.

Know you know your minimum amount of slip reqd and how much exposed at rest
