Ring & pinion questions

Some more stupid newbie questions!

When re-gearing differentials, does one replace both the ring and pinion, or just the pinion?

yes it stays... the number of teeth change...

When i did my first gear swap years back i searched and searched the internet... you can find all kinds of write ups.. I printed them all out and went from there...

Search for Jeep TOTW. I am pretty sure there was a whole TOTW about setting up gears.

there have been a few recent threads about setting up gears in jeeps... And I'm actually installing my 4.88's this weekend w/ some buddies.
