Newb toyota question
I've got an 85 toyota truck
first question: I'm trying to figure out where my dome light wires run cause my dome light won't work and it's not the bulb, So i would think it is a blown fuse. My second question is wtf is the deck light. i've turn the switch on and a light on the switch comes on when my headlights are on but nothing else changes, Yeah yeah i know they're lame question but that why there in the newb section thanks |

the deck lamp is on the outside of the cab in the back. It shines a little bit of light over the bed of the truck. As for the dome light take it all apart and trace the wires.

pretty sure mine run down the a pillar too but i can't see where they come out and i also can't find a fuse for the light. i should have refrased my question and asked where the fuses are for the dome light. I would rather find the fuse and see if it's blown before i run down all the wires. Thanks again

Fuse box is behind the driver side kick panel by your feet. Remove two screws and your there.

Deck light: As mentioned, in your truck, it is the light over your bed, it only works with the parking or head lights on.
On a 4Runner it is even more useless. The deck light switch has to be on, the lights have to be on, the rear door has to be open, and the switch on the cargo area light has to be on for it to work, and even then it gives off very little light.
