Arrow Need options for vehicle floor covering

I need some ideas for floor covering in my Toyota. What have you used or would like to use. I want some type of insulation or pad and then a covering that is rubber or something along the line of the factory pad. Oh, and I do not want to spend the $ for the spray in bed linner.

Did you use the 3M stuff or the no-name brand?

I bot 2 spray cans one 3M and one no-name.. 3m was thicker but your right smell is nasty!

I wouldn't call it cheap there like $5.50 a can....

Buddha- I was going to use the spray stuff for my jeep but was afraid of it heeting up in summer and turning all gooy...

How think are we talkin on the 3M stuff? Any reason a person could not give it like 3 or 4 coats? Make it like a 3/16" thick?

This stuff is the shit. I’ve seen a couple of jeeps that my buddy painted and used this stuff on the inside of the tubs. Easy to apply and it’s tintable. It took one kit to do a nice thick coat on the inside of a Jeep tub.

I used ZEP brand professional rubberized coating, it says that it can be used on hoods and firewalls for sound dampning so I assume that heat wont turn it to NASTY GOO. I just did it about 3 weeks ago and so far so good, I did notice that when my transmission gets warm it softens a little, but over time it seems to cure more(getting harder) but ill see this summer

Is this the stuff you used?

I used it in my doors as sound deadener. Everything was fine until six months later in mid August when we had a heat wave. The crap was dripping out of the drain holes in the door. It covered the door sill and made a mess of the carpet. Problem #2 was three months later when the door filled full of water from the plugged drain holes. I spoke with the lab and they said it was just roofing tar, same chit can be bought from Home Depot in the roofing dept.

ZEP sucks!
