About a month ago I went over these harsh speed bumps while going to a buddies and one of them blends right in. I was going about 15 mph (give or take) when I hit it. After-word my truck vibrated like a mother. I could not locate the problem, and after about a month it went away and was running smoothly. Well today I did it again (Im so stupid ) and now its started again. What is causing this??? I cant stand it!!! The vibration comes up in the steering wheel and the dash vibrates badly. You can also feel it in the floor. If it helps my truck is and 83 yota.
Thanks For Any Help

Have you checked for anything loose in the nose? If you can feel it in your steeering wheel, its in the nose....

What crash said. Easiest way to spot it is to have someone turn steering back and forth while you look for something loose. This is possible "DEATH WOBBLE" by the way. Search on that and you'll find more than you can stand to read as far as info and solutions.

I would suspect a motor mount that is at least partially damaged. Could be the impact pushes it out and over time it settles back into place. The motor shifting would take your transmission out of alignment and cause vibrations. Take a good look at the mounts and maybe check to see if the fan has touched the shroud. That is usually a dead giveaway that the engine has shifted.

Seriously, you need to jack the vehicle up (take the weight off the wheels) and check it out. Before someone gets hurt or broke down.
