setting my 302 to tdc to get the timing close
i redid my intake manifold gaskets and marked the dist and everything put it back together but it seems like it's a tooth off when i go to start it. how do i get it to tdc and get the timing as close as possible?
and i need this truck tommorow for work

TDC.
Take out the no.1 plug and put your finger over the hole ( disconnect the coil) and have someone bump the engine over until the compression pops your finger off the hole. You are now on TDC. No. 1 plug wire goes where the rotor is sitting...Some like the rotor to face the No. 1 hole but, that is personal preferance. Hope this helps, Bob
