Anybody know the weight of an inline jeep 6cyl motor? if not exact then what it compares to in weight of another engine.

see i did a search and didn't find much of anything. 450 lbs seems pretty heavy, i was told by a friend that they were pretty light because he was able to pick one up by himself.

he may have been able to pick up just a block without the head attached, crank removed etc... but unless your friend is a professional strong man I'd say he was full of $hit.

450 to 500 is about right though for a complete engine.

Well.......I shipped a complete 4.0 with EVERYTHING including wiring harness to the tail lights etc. in a crate that weighed in at 570 or so when it was shipped
