ford 9 in ?
are hp and lp 3rd members interchangeable? can you remove a lp 3rd member from a housing and replace it with a hp 3rd member? if the housings are different for a lp and hp , how do you tell the difference if your buying just a housing with the axles and brakes?

i wasnt sure if you had to have the currie housing in order to use the hp 3rd member. im looking at buying a housing with 31 spline shafts, discs, and no 3rd. he says its supposed to be a currie housing.
