dana 60 vs rockwell

done the search ...no results !


anuone have the front rockwell weight ?without the drums
and compared to a front d60 how much more dose it weigh

front rockwell, no drums, no pinion brake is about 100-120 lbs heavier than a stock front chevy D60 - 8 lug - full width.

It is 155 lbs. more that the stock chevy 60 front. steve

this may be right regarding Dana 60 with disk brakes v. 2.5 ton Rockwell
with disk brakes.

if it's Dana 60 with brakes v. 2.5 ton Rockwell without brakes(taking into account one rear pinion brake), it's less = about 120lb.

I don't know about it leaking if hes a good welder but is that only 1/8th inch material u made it out of? I like the design though, I think most people just tourch the whole thing off and start from scratch. I know you'd be adding 1/4 to 1/8th(or whatever it is) but i think it be best.
