San Luis Obispo CA engine shops?

Anybody got some good recomendations for a engine shop near San Luis Obispo or Atascadero? Want to start on my 4.0 stroker project and would like to discuss with a good engine shop on what they can do for me as far as machine work.

Thanks

Wade

The best way to find a machine shop is to call up SLO BMW and ask them where they do their machining, chances are its super expensive but very good. When I lived there I dealt some with a shop out on Broad-man it's been so long, its the shop out near the airport next to the church-Its on your left after the tank farm light as you approach the airport. One of the guys that worked there was also a Polygoats member with a 1/4 elliptical jeep-very cool. Sorry i can't remember the name, but they were a really friendly shop. Good luck..

A friend of mine just had a 4.2 with 4.0L head built by what appears to be a good shop in SLO. Can't remember the name of it though. I'll see if I can find out.
