Ford 8.8 Detroit - mystery parts found
Changing the diff oil today in my 8.8. After letting everything drain, I started to clean out the last little bit of oil in the beast and found a very small screw, guessing #4 size, that looks like it has been sheared off. I have the slotted head part and about .25 of the rest. It looks like there were threads on it (quite mangeld now) and the end definitely looks sheared off.
I can't see anything like this in the exploded view of the detroit. Cn anybody help on where this came out of? THX.
