source of aftermarket turbo, CTD

I am looking to replace the turbine housing on my dodge ramcharger swapped with a cummins turbo diesel. It has a major case of turbo lag. It came stock out of the donor truck with a 21mm turbine housing.

Searching locally I can only find a 18mm housing which is the other size that came stock. When I mention to the local shops that I have heard of people using 16mm turbine housings which are a direct bolt on application they tell me that I need to replace the entire turbo unit. I am under the impression that they are blowing smoke.

Anyone know where these 16mm units are available?

Matt

How has that 16mm housing been for you? Do you find that it spools up too fast?

thanks Matt

McInfantry, do you have your 9cm2 yet? I've got a spare HY35, wastegated and 9cm2 turbine housing, with the short sectdion of downpipe/casting.
