Resonator question
Hey guys--
Hope I don't offend anyone's sensibilities with the lurking nature of my post.. but I've got a lil' question (BTW, I searched this and couldn't find the answer I was looking for): My resonator is rotted out, and in lieu of replacing it, I'm considering just ditching the thing. I'd sort of like to run an elbow pipe out behind the rear wheel.. Now, I don't have access to a welder (much less know how to weld).. are there any cheap bolt on solutions you guys have experience with? I'm a little worried that if I do this incorrectly I'll end up melting my body mount or panels or whatever... Any insight would be appreciated! Edit: Sorry, it's a 95 DI.

Hey Malory,
Just give you local muffler shop instructions to fix it how you want. It will not cost much and you will not have to hang you head in shame here either. Exhaust is something all of us here hire out at one time or another. JP

You can get a prebent tip at vato zone that will just slip on. If you are really pimp'n they come in chrome too.
A word to the the wise though, you do need somthing to redirect the exhaust. Otherwise you will melt the wires to your fuel pump. Don't ask me how I know this, just trust me. -Jeff

"Vato Zone"
How hilariously politically incorrect.
