Where can I learn more about hydraulics? - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

Where can I learn more about hydraulics? Eventually I want to plumb in a air-over-hydraulic suspension on a toy buggy I will be building in the next few years and also full hydraulic steering. I can get info from the hydraulic steering thing in the tech. dept.
I want to know how to plumb them, what to look for in a hydro cylinder, accumalators (whats that), pumps, hoses, fittings,bore vs stroke... all that stuff.
I searched around here and didn't find much. I am going to TRY to reach the 9 page thread on air/hydraulic suspension to see if I can get anything from that.
I just want to have a good understanding on it.
I know I can keep asknig questions, but the problem is I don't know what to ask about!

Hope this isn't too stupid to ask.

Get the book "Science of Hydraulic Suspension" You should be able to order it from any Barnes and Noble (or whatever book places you have locally.) I was originally a lowrider (and always will be

) and this book will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know about hydraulics!!!
