Chevy axle info needed - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

Was wondering if anyone could help by telling me what kind of front axle came in a( 1978 GMC C-10 pickup, 4x4 ) ? I know an old farmer who has one he will sell but he is more than an hour away from me . Was wonder if this had the D60 (or was this just the one tons).

D-60 didn't come in a 1/2 ton. Probably a 10 bolt or dana 44 (maybe), but I don't remember for that year.

78 was the change year it could be a dana44 or corp 10bolt
