DTC's!!!
I have a 2000 silverado and the CEL just turned on. I scanned it and got a code po753. I dont have 1st gear or 4th, but 2nd and 3rd seem to work. Please help guys. thanks

pull the pan and ohm the 1-2 shift solenoid. that's what the code is for. this solenoid controls the 1-2 and 3-4 shift valves, which provide 1st and 4th gear. spec is 19-31 ohms. I bet it's shorted. Good luck. DB

If all that stuff is ok, you might try an ign switch. They get resistance internally and set codes. This one will default to 2nd if it fails. DB

It was the shift solenoid and the trans wiring harness... Fewh... I thought it was going to be worse
