trying to decide what front link syst. i want to attempt.

first off i have a 1 ton xj running leafs. i am telling you this to let you know that i feel my fabrication skills are above average.

i have started a smaller tired rig running 35's and 5.5" coils up front, and a homebrew rear leaf setup. i know i want to keep the front linked (not run leafs this time) i am not sure if i want to run a "long arm" setup with the upper arms attaching to the lower link. or if i just want to use the stock style, and lower the mounts a little (maybe 1.5")

basically what im asking is... what are some different link styles people are running, and what are the advantages of each?

if anyone were trying to teach a link setup in a small paragraph what are some things to emphasize(sp?)

i know this sounds like a super newb question and it pretty much is, but i am pretty confident with my fab ability. TIA
