2WD s-10 to 4WD

I have this old shitty bug that someone is willing to trade me for their 96 s-10 which, according to blue book, is a great trade. only problem is it's 2wd. it's a 5-speed 4 banger. Suggestions on what to do, where to get it, and how much would be appreciated.

Why not? You could easily put that s-10 body on a blazer frame, or with a little fab skills you can convert a 2wd s10 into this

Just don't try and swap in the 4wd IFS if you do trade. SAS it for sure.

I could not imagine anything more difficult, and pointless at the same time.

its alot of work, the 2.2L 4 pooper is a bitch to adapt to a decent tranny, i'm using half of a 83 S-blazer T5 behind the front half of the T5 that came with my 95 S-10, it kinda works. the 96 will have a NV1500 or some shit like that.

the suspension and steering is just as easy (or hard as you wanna make it) as building a jeep or toy.

driver's drop will be easier to clear the exhaust.

the s10 regular cab is way roomier than any other reg cab mini truck i've been it.

again, it's alot of work, but it's pretty pimp when it's "done"
