Question about Serpentine belts & 6-8 groove york clutch.

Unfortunately i cant seem to get an account on the kilbyenterprises forum to ask this, so I'm going to throw the question up to the expertise of you folks.

I am going to be buying a york OBA setup sometime this week through kilby. I require the 6 groove clutch for the kit, but i have an 8 groove clutch being mailed to me from a friend. I suppose it will work, but i have a simple question about serpentine belts.

Is the distance between the grooves always the same on a serpentine belt, no matter if tis a 6 groove or an 8 groove?

You see, I'm pretty sure that i will be able to move the york forward and back to compensate for any difference between the clutches, but i just don't know the the belt is going to fit properly inside the grooves.
