i just lifted my truck 3.5" and need some help choosin shocks that WILL fit in the stock location. i wanted help because i don't want to end up buying a shock that gives a stiff ride. i need something that will give me a soft on road ride. the back is covered, i just need help choosing the front shocks.

i have done researching on this and most people put in new shock hoops. i don't want to have to do that.

i have been running rancho rs 5000 there good on the street a little stiff but good off-road, if you want great on and of road go with an adjustable type shock like the pro comps or the ranchos.

as for the shock hoops you can use the stock towers as long as you get the corrct length of shock of compress you suspension and measure how much room you have left for a shock fully compressd then you know what lenght to get.

would you happen to know whats a universal length for a 3.5" lifted toy? mine is a stock solid axle, i don't wheel as often and as hard so i don't really need lots of travel, i just need a smooth soft ride on the street.

i would get bilsteins but they cost almost as much as my truck does....how are the gabriel gas shocks from autozone? what other cheap good brands are out there?

Call Summit. Pro Comp Shocks are $35 a piece and work decent for what you want. They will be able to match you up with the length of shock that you need from the amount of lift that you have. 1-800-230-3030
