Wondering if anyone uses MSD or similar unit?

I got an 89 toyota pickup for 500.00 that needs an ignitor and that's it. I called all the salvage yards around oregon and they said that any toyota's they have are picked clean and a new ignitor is around $350.00.

So I would like to run an MSD box off of the ecu to replace the ignitor.

Was wondering if anyone has done this and what you are using for the parts?
Don't care if it's a Crane unit or anyother(just can't justify replaceing something that will fail with the same peice), jsut one that works.

Oh the motor is a 3.0 V6 if that matters and it's a 5 speed. 2 wheel drive for now.
