I found Throttle Body Spacers work well with TBI Units where the fuel and air is mixed going through the Intake Manifold... Throttle Body Spacers only work marginally on CPI and MPFI where only air is going through the Intake Manifold

I thought it helped in my 87 1/2 ton. I bought a cheap knock off from ebay, the only thing it didn't do was whistle(as much) like the helix. I also installed an injector spacer and adjustable fuel pressure regulator at the same time. I suggest using the fuel line extentions and a fuel pressure gauge to make install/tuning less difficult.
There is a fuel pressure regulator that is a marine part and is vacuum referenced unlike the other aftermarket ones. it requires you to drill a hole for a vacuum port but people really seem to like it.

No, it can be done with out but they are cheap and if they send you the right ones, unlike me, its better then trying to bend hardlines in a tight spot. I think there was a bracket I loosened or removed to get some more length. I ended up reconnecting the lines then installing the TB on the manifold.

To be honest, I have no idea. What year is this going on?
This is something like the one I got. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY...QQcmdZViewItem

I put an Airraid on my '89 K3500 w/454, didn't need extensions as the fuel lines are of the braided variety from the factory, and plenty long enough. Did notice an increase in performance though.
