Toyota gears

Heres the question.

I purchased a set of 4:88 yukon gears a little while back with intent on installing them in my 83 Toyota solid front axle. I just recently decided to and purchased a fully assembled high pinion diff with reverse cut 4:88 gears and an ARB air locker from Randy's Ring and Pinion.

Now, can I take the standard cut 4:88's I originally purchased for the older front end, and put them in my rear end. ( 89 toyota pickup, V6 4WD ) ????

any info would be much appreciated, and If not, anyone interested in a set of brand new 4:88 yukon gears?

You can use 4 cyl gear sets in the rear of a V6 diff. The V6 gear sets are a little thicker, a little stronger so you will lose some strength.

X2, you can run the 4cyl gear in the V6 housing, just have to shim the hell out of the pinon, something like .242
