non-op penalties
im gonna be buying a rig thats been non-opped for a few years,, when i register it in my name, what back fees if any will i have? the guy im buying it from says that since it's non-opped, it's a clean slate, that i wont have to pay anything but typical registration fees. is this right? or am i looking at hundreds of dollars for back registration?

Thats the point of getting a non-op ....... it means that its NOT registered and that a fee was paid to keep it "on the books" with the DMV
So, yes he's right. **But you didnt say what year it is sooo....... I'm not sure how the smog laws work with regard to a non-op. (been awhile sence I lived in the bay area )
