A friend had one of the automatic hubs on his 90 F150 to break and bust the end of the cap out.
I had a spare hub sitting around that I gave him to replace the broken one with. A few weeks later, while backing out of his driveway, both of his hubs exploded the same way as the first. Is there something that would cause this, other than automatic hubs being general pieces of crap? Just wondering if improper installation, worn parts or something to that affect would cause the hub to break and send parts out the cap. Thanks, Jesse Last edited by jesster; 10-03-2006 at 12:07 PM. |

I had the same thing happen to my 94 f-150. The inside of both end caps sheared off in the same day. I just put manuals back on in their place. It even made the truck pick up a couple MPG. Now the 351 is a gas saver.
