04 F150 tire sizes
My dd is an 04 F150 4x4 extra cab short bed. Currently have 265/70x17s on it, they are Goodyear MTRs and about worn out after only 12k miles. Want to go with BFG MTs, but the 17s are limited. Can I fit 285s on there, the vehicle is bone stock. I have to have a MT tire, the conditions I drive in often demand it, the ATs won't work, had some.

I know 33x12.50s will fit on with a two inch leveling kit. The kit Tuff Country kit consists of to machined aluminum strut spacersl. It takes a heavy duty spring/strut compresser and an alignment. I am not sure what minum wheel size is. Stock wheels will work fine. 285s are usually around 33 inches tall.

I'm driving an '06 F150 for work right now. It has 255/70R17 which is 31 x 10 but there looks to be a pile of room both front and rear. 285/70R17 is approx a 32.5 x 11 so it should fit.
