I have an aussie locker in the D-44 under my 98 ram 1500. Today I noticed that when in 2 wheel drive on dry pavement with wheel turned hard left or right the front binds and makes a noise like the locker is ingaging or the truck is in 4wd. It won't do it on dirt or with 4wd drive ingaged on dirt. Had the cover off last week and everything looked good and all the bolts were tight. Never took any measurements. It just started doing this. Has anybody had similar problems with this style locker?
thats usualy it's way of telling you it's there and working, however, IIRC dodge has that CAD bullshit up front, so in 2wd, it shouldn't make any noise..
One thing I HAVE noticed however, the aussies seem to be quite a bit noiser than lockrights..

A good place to start would be to check the innercam spacing and see if there has been movement since the installation. The specifications for this spacing is between .145-.170. Drop us a note at engineering@aussielocker.com if you have any questions on this. We also agree with supervert that a place to look since this seems to be a new situation is to check the CAD to ensure a full disconnect.
Thanx! Haven't had time to pull it apart, busy time of year.
