hey guys, im looking to run either 265/75s or 255/85/16s on stock wheels. However i do tow and haul reguarly therefore im trying to decide the performance difference between the two? I know i wont feel anything from the 265/75s as i have the 265/70s now. However will i be able to tell a power loss from the 255/85/16's? If so how much? I just dont want my performance to be changed to where it doesnt get up and go afterwards! thanks
Smaller tire you'll pull and accel. faster. I run 265/75's on my 02 Tundra completely stock right now and it still moves just fine. Breaks em loose just fine as well.
I would run the 265's. That is what the truck comes with stock and you are likely to see the best performance out of. I have 285/75 16's on my 00 Tundra and while I still have decent power, it is notas much as it used to be with the stock tires
well i have a trueflow intake and magnaflow muffler for performance upgrades. so alittle loss wont kill me as it will feel just like stock.
