I got new tires for Christmas, and I now need new rims. The rims on it now are ~4.5 backspacing I believe, tires are 35x12.5. My new tires are 35x12.5 up front, and 35x14 in the rear. I am going to buy some new steel rims, and was wondering what backspacing you other toy guys are running. I know the ones on it now are really tight, front and rear. Only about .5 inches between rear tire and leaf. Thanks in advance,
Zane
If you look in the Toyota FAQ's, you'll find a thread on 2" BS wheels. That's what most of us run, (although mine are 2.5" BS). There are part numbers, and contacts and everything you need.
Get the 2" BS wheels from the FAQ, or at least get a set of steelies with 3.5" BS. The 3.5" ones are pretty easy to find and in stock most places. Good luck.
I am running 4" bs on my 1980 p/u with 33x12.5 on 8" rims , will be putting wider rear and 1.5 spacers in the front
