Hi, I just bought a stock 83 toyota 4x4 with a 22r, 5 speed. I have fought through some carb problems and now the truck runs great. There is this front end noise that is pretty annoying. It sounds like a rumble, starts around 20 mph and gets louder until about 55-60. I thought it was a left front wheel bearing becuase if I steer to the right it goes away. I removed the hub and adjusted the bearing but I really can't tell if it changed much. Does anyone have any ideas? This is my 1st toyota so any help would be much apreciated!
I can't really tell. It Makes the noise whether on pavement, Dirt, 4wd and 2wd. By "Rebuilding" do you mean new bearings?. I am used to working on Chevys with IFS so the Toy front end looks a little wierd.
