So I am not a Dodge guy, at least not yet, but I am building some sliders and bumpers for a friend that has a full size reg cab dodge ram early 80s with 1 ton drive train. I would estimate the weight of this truck at maybe 5000 lbs?? Any way he is woried about a front bumper holding up under abuse if it is made from 2" x .120 tubing. I built a bumper out of 2" x .120 for a TJ and I used the hell out of the bumper. I supported the entire wieght of vehile on it more than once and never had a problem with it. Do you guys think that 2" x .120 is a sufficient enough for a 5000 vehicle provided it is properly attached to the frame and gusseted. Here are some solid works pics so you have an idea of the design.
