yea so i a TH350 out of a 3/4 ton FS truck that had a NP203 transfer case. what i want to know is can a Ford style NP205 mate up with my GM transmission ???
Yes it will bolt up with the right adapter but you will have to disassemble the t-case and install the correct input to match your trans.
Also keep in mind the ford has the front output on the opposite side of the chevy version. So unless you run a front axle with the diff on the left side all the aformentioned effort will be wasted.
So would this make the transfercase a drivers side drop or a passenger side drop? i have 3/4 ton ford axles and i really need it to be drivers side drop transfercase. Thanks for the help, and i do like that doubler idea- only if it was a drivers side drop setup.
I am in the middle of this also. You have a couple options. The doubler like people said. chevy 203 to ford 205 (which is what i'm doing), tranny and transfer case from a late 80's early 90's chevy with ifs, or a th350 that originally was mated to a np208 or a 2wd th350 and hook it up to an NP241 from a chevy 1/2 ton.
So yes, you have options, you just have to pick one.
If you get the right doubler setup, you can mate your ford 205 to your gm 203 and have a drivers side drop.
