A friend of mine is giving me an axle that was left in his garage when he bought his house. Its a HP 44, drivers side drop, and it has what looks like a early bronco suspention setup(coil buckets, radious arms). My question is assuming that all the mounts are original what did this come out of? I was under the impression that HP's only came in the ford trucks, but they had leaf springs:confused: Sorry for the lack of imformation but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any thoughts on a toyota V6 rearend in a Cherokee?

to expand on that, ford 1/2 ton 4x4's since forever have had coil springs up front with radius arms (except for late 70's supercabs, they had leafs). this includes 78 and 79 fullsize broncos. search for a Mr.N on this site, he has a website with tons of good info on HP44's.
