What size socket to use on 99 dodge 1/2 ton front axle nut?

What size socket to use on 99 dodge 1/2 ton front axle nut? tried taking it off today and picked up a 36mm assuming that was the size but its a lot bigger, anyone know the exact size to save me time?

Is that the 12 pt. nut? if so I don't know of one larger. I had to order a 36mm 12pt socket special from MAC tools.

Then I think it should be 1 5/16 or 1 1/4

all those sizes are too small....its a bit larger than 36mm as i said before

The next size up from 36mm is 1 7/16 if you go by thousands



36mm is 1.41
1 7/16 is 1.438

you also need a 3/4" wrench or a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter
