bought an 83 chev with A 350 on propane. Im in the midst of converting the truck to HEI and am having issues. The distributor came with the truck out of another SBC but no wiring..:shaking: The disty is getting a constant 12v source from the battery but there are (1) 4-prong weatherpark connection where i dont know where it hooks up to. THanks.
Without a pic, I can't say for sure, you only need to supply 1 wire; 12v switched to the Bat terminal on the dist. The other wires are istay at the dist., remove the cap and make sure the module is there and connected. The terminal next to the Bat is for a tach pickup
ive got the 12v switch to teh disty connected, the 4prong male into the bottom of the cap/hei unit plugged in, both tach and battery connections on the cap.... went through the rotor/cap and they all looked ok... just realised maybe the batt and tach connections are switched
THat would plug into your ecm or what ever you call it I believt you jump the out side two to buypass the need. dont quote me on this I was told a long time ago.
the diagrams are exactly how i hooked the damn thing up. Im guessing now the ignition module is fucked...
