Ok so I know Currie, Spidertrax and some other companies make 9 inch front ends but is it something that anyone could do? Can you take knuckles off of a 60, cut the tubes to the right size, weld them on and have shafts cut for it? Is that all there is to it? I'm talking about for a trail only vehicle that would never see the road, just wondering how feasible it is for a semi-mechanically inclined person.

Of course it's possible. You just need the skill of the money to do it.
