looking at a 5/4 ton milatary truck

4x4 14r/60f
np208
th400
minus moto
a fella has it for sale fairly cheap? i think?
what is it worth?
i figed around 2k?

plan is to drop a tbi350 , chop it up to around 105" stick my cj body on it
4 link w/ coils
and tricl the hell out of it!!!

what do ya think?any suggestions?

im with him. if a vehicle doesnt move its hard to justify paying much more than a $1000 for it. You could get all the components for about $1500 so dont pay anymore than that.

f/r are worth about 1000-1200$, depending on who wants it (456s, so certain people will pay higher to keep from having to regear)
trans and t-case are worth 200ish...rest is scrap basically, so another 2-300$ there.

if you pay any much more than 1200$, you are cutting yourself short. Also, keep in mind it was a diesel, so its not as easy to just swap in a motor and run a little bit of electronics to get a gasser running.

i was thinkn about swaping for a vortec 350
i wouldent think it would be to much if it a basic swap???

If your not interested in the truck body, pull the axles and Turbo 400, part out the rest. 208 T case isn't worth much.

4.56 gears and a rear detroit locker in the 14 bolt is a good find.

Forget the rest. Don't overpay.
