are they good? No. Will they work? yes. I have a smittybuilt and it is fine. It is not a Warn but when you are trying to save money it is an ok replacement. I spent almost a grand on the Warn on my last rig. I spent less than 300 on the Smitty that is on the buggy. Both were brand new...

I "saved" money on a 12,000 lb mile marker and will never ever buy another one. It lasted approximately 20 pulls and a year and a half. The line speed is slow and while I've always said anything is faster than the speed of stuck that's not really the truth. I've replaced it with a warn 8,000 lb and I am SO much happier. Another thing, the mile marker rusted completely. I covered it, maintained it and rust. I kept on it with naval jelly and it was out of control.

Warn. Warn. Warn.

I went with the tabor winch from warn, I have not mounted it yet, so I can't tell you how it performs yet, but it is a warn except that it only has a 1 year warranty. Though I bought it from 4wheelparts and for like an extra $50 got a life time warranty thru them. So either way I am covered.
