Check for bent rod?

86 ford f-150, 302, 5.0L. Fuel Injected

So my motor won't turn over, replaced starter (it failed) And still nothing.

I sucked water up my intake (I know, mud sucks) so I pulled all the plugs, still won't push any water out, can't get it to turn from starter or by hand (still trying by hand though) Any ideas? What's the easiest way to check for a bent rod? I was told if I pull the oil pan I might be able to check it out.

pulling the oil pan would be the next step. you may not be able
to see bent rod with naked eye, but you may see something else.

Have you checked into how to pull the pan? Just in case you don't know, Its a bit of a bear. You need to lift the engine as high as possible and unbolt the oil pump to get pan off. Unbolt front fan shroud too.

And your sure it doesn't turn over by hand. You need to get a breaker bar and socket on the front crankshaft and try to give it a couple of turns with all the plugs out, with a little bit of force.

It's toast. I put on a 2.5 foot bar and it twisted off an extension twice, not going anywhere haha. I've tried everything, yeah the oil pan is a pain. Need to drop the cross member undo the motor mounts take out the exhaust. it's easier to just pull the engine.

I'm selling it. I don't have the tools or time to rebuild it unfortunately, I wish I could but it'll make a decent rig for someone with the time =)
