Why no 4.27 gears in ford 9"?

I am deciding on gears for my Scout. I have a 9" Ford in the rear and a D44 (not HP) in the front. For the front, 4.27 : 1 gears are common and available. For the rear, only 4.30 : 1 are available. Does it matter? Is there some engineering reason why nobody offers 4.27 for the ford 9" diff?

i personally wouldnt do a 4:27 on the fron and a 4:30 on the rear, i know you can get a with a .01 difference, but .03 might be too much

4.27 and 4.30 are fine together. No problem whatsoever. Run them.

2% difference is totally okay, you will be fine with the 4.27 and 4.30.

You could also jump to a 4.56 if you want them the same and will be about 180 rpm difference. Or like the other guys said.

.03 is 3% 0f 1.

.03 is not 3% of 4.30.

run it, you would want a slightly faster gear in the front anyhow. ei chevy's ran 4.09 front 4.11 rear.

Lots of Toyota guys run 5.38's and 5.29's with no problems. The difference is less than having worn tires on one end and newer tires on the other end.

And way less than when you turn a corner.
