So i just picked up a 4.3 out of a 94 blazer from a friends of mine. Got the whole thing for 100 bucks and it runs but needs a new harness cause he cut it all up getting it out. Here's what i think i have cpi 4.3, 700r4, not sure about the transfer case. Can someone confirm exactly what i have here? thanks

It Should be an, NP231C transfercase if it was floor shift, on a 4L60E Trans. For the harness You'll have to know the 8th vin digit, W or Z motor.

This would bring more answers in the Chevy forum.

i figured this wasn't hardcore enough for them and they would just complain. It was an electronic transfer case, ill be scrapping it. What year did it switch over to the 4l60e?

My 93 CPI had the 4l60e in it as well.

i guess i will be finding another transmission then huh? Do many people wheel with a 4l60e? I know it's just an electronic 700r4 pretty much but i would guess it would make it more of a pain for things like a reverse manual valve body.

I swapped mine out for a th350. I run a toyota transfer-case behind it in my '82 toyota.
