98 dodge dakota throwing codes

I'm having some transmission issues with my 98 dodge dakota v6 magnum 4x4. the check engine light is on and it's not shifting into fourth most of the time (seems stuck in third and starts in third unless i manually over ride it). transmission is 4spd automatic.

I had the codes read by a friend with a reader but i don't know if they are something i can fix my self or if they require a pro. My technical ability with the truck is I can do things like change the brakes and oil. I would say dropping the transmission is beyond my ability.

the codes are p0743 and p0753 one is to a shift solenoid and the other is something to do with the transfer case, there was a third but i lost it and it wouldn't come back. I'm hoping they are easy/cheap fixes that don't involve taking the truck to a transmission place.

I have the chilton's cd but it doesn't work on my computer.
