Dodge axle swap question
Howdy. I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd. I recently picked up a rolled 1998 2500 sport with 410 gears detroit lockers front and rear and a 6in lift. I know the front is bolt on and the rear most people just reuse there half ton leaf springs. I want to use the 2500 leaf springs, so first off can I do this? My thought is since the 250 springs are 3inches wide and the 1500s are 2.5inches wide, that I need to swap the 2500 spring hangers over to my 1500. Are the springs the same length? So far all my searching on here and pavementsucks has turned up nothing on that. The springs look to be the same size, and if i can swap my springs by just changing the hangers over then I'd like to do that so I can keep the lift. Also If i did that would I need to still reweld the perches? Also I have heard about a ubolt flip, what is this? Is there any big advantages?

If the truck was rolled, then the front axle is bent. It doesn't take much of a hit to bend them.

Nothing is bent up front.(That we can see) The roll bar and body took most of the damage. In fact all four tires where still up and it landed on its wheels. Sure hope it isn't bent...
