Chevy Avalanche Flag Mount - On Tow Hook

I just made a flag mount for the front end of my '03 Avalanche. I wanted to share the bracket in this forum for other "less than Hardcore" wheelers to reference.

I bought a $1.29 1/2" thread U-Bolt and a $3.50 6" x 6" x 1/4"angle bracket from the Hardware store. Drilled two holes in the angle for the U-bolt and opened an existing hole on the end of the angle for the flag mount, then cut off the excess stock. Mount the U-bolt around the center of the front tow hook on the truck and sandwich the bracket on. It took about 15 minutes to drill, cut and mount.

The flag whip looks like it could hit the hood on the truck, so I put a noodle around the bottom of the whip.
