Caliper Asm

Painted some calipers, looking to asm them now. I dont really want to use brake fluid to grease the seals, pistons and o-rings.

Any idea what will work with brake fluid? Vasoline?

why did you disassemble them to paint? Masking would have been much easier. I wouldn't put anything in my brake system but brake fluid.

well if you already made the mistake of taking them apart to paint them, then you already know you may have just f-ed up. brake fluid lube only the seal down in the piston bore, you should have enough talent to dip your finger in fluid and reach in there to put some on the seal. you don't lube the dust boot anyway when re-installing the piston. leave the calipers out in the hot sun a few days before trying to re-assemble and this may bake the paint on a little more for you making them less sensitive to fluid being on there.
