Shocks?
I have a 03 2500HD Silverado duramax with a 6" rough country lift. Only have about 11,000 miles on the shocks that came with the lift but their already making a clunking noise when i hit a bump (bushings are shot). What shock would u recommend for this truck?
Thanks

Are you fucking serious?
http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28705 Try measuring both the extended and collapsed lengths of the ones you have, then replace them. JOKER

So only the bushings are shot?
Check out some poly bushings from Energy Suspension. Better than the stock rubber ones.

we do to have a life.........somewhat. but in the end the guys here are right, shocks for a tow rig aren't exactly hardcore tech. but lets face it, about 70% of the posts here aren't about 'hardcore' shit either. transmissions that dont shift and dash lights that don't work are on par newbwise with this OP's question. paul did do a good job of describing what should and shouldn't be posted here, but it seems few pay attention to it. the newb questions and responses make me laugh though.
my favorite part here is those folks that can't spell for shit. this is followed by (and usually included with) those that have no idea about simple grammer. love it, so let's keep the newb questions coming.

Travis, not everyone on here has small penis syndrome and have to hide behind their computer and talk shit. I quite posting on here for awhile because several of these dickweeds feal its better to bash someone instead of just answering their question or politely sending them to the correct forum. Anyway I have the 5150's on my suburban, heavy vehicle with a dana 60 and corporate 14bolt and it rides great.

Don't worry Travis, there are so many people on here who obviously are not over a certain age that act like they do because you see, they were born being 4x4 experts and they don't know what it's was like to have to ask basic questions. Or perhaps they are older, and are just plain old assholes. Pirate is a great source of information. Once you get past the idiots who are offended by someone daring to ask a question in the wrong forum they they feel is beneath them to answer and are offended. So they act the way they do, instead of acting the way the above poster suggested. So go on being a normal human being who makes mistakes such as posting a basic question in "their" forum. I'm sure these people who bitch, moan, make fun of, etc... have never made a mistake, so you can understand their motivations (I guess). Leave them to show off to each other how they can open a beer with their last remaining tooth, and basically remain miserable human beings who act the way they do because they have "behind the screen bravery" and would not have the balls to act that way towards you in person if you asked them the same exact question at a 4x4 event or on the trail. I'm 45, and have been involved in the sport all my life. I would never act this way towards someone who asked a question, regardless of the forum in which it was posted. Oh yeah, back to the real point of this thread, 5150's are great shocks for your application.
