Stub shaft measuring.
its from the center of the ujoint to the end of the shaft right?
reason im asking- doing the ford knuck conversion on my dodge. get the shafts in and bolt the spindle down, you cant move the axle shafts, they are pinched in between the housing and the spindle, turn the knuckle and they start to move again.. heres what i got from center of ujoint to end of shaft ![]() whole shaft. ![]() and this is what i have sticking out of the spindle. ![]() all these pieces were together on this thing- d70 chunk with bj ford outers. ![]() ![]() checking to make sure these are really ford stub shafts... |

Yep, center of the u-joint to the end. 11.375" (11 3/8") should be the length of Ford Dana 60 stub. 12" for Chevy and Dodge stubs.
Is your inner fully seated? Remove the inner and try it with just the outer installed. Something is binding.
