Trac-Loc
can you ID this? from what i can tell its a Trac-Loc, but from what ive found i cant see an application for the chevy 10 bolt that its in.

searched a bunch today and think its a traction-lock from the back of s-10s and camaro's. you think i should try it in the front, or would a dana44 open be better?

Its definitely a limited slip of some kind, but its not a Dana trac-loc. Trac-locs are a little beefier on the body, have round holes where the retaining clips go, and you cannot see the clutch tabs from outside. By beefier I mean the case covers more of the side gears and spiders.

I have never heard any thing good about the Trash-Loc in the front. Pretty lame in the rear also unless you are on flat ground or pavement. I would save up for at least a drop in locker, or weld it....

I dont remember the Trac-Loc having the "S" spring in the middle..... but its been awhile.
